LOMNISKI wasn't born in an office — it was born on the slope, among people who would rather spend a day in the snow than anywhere else. We're instructors who remember what it's like to be afraid of that first run — and that's exactly why we know how to get you through it.
Our reward isn't the number of hours skied, but the moment your eyes light up on the slope for the first time.
Teaching since 2022 in Tatranská Lomnica, High Tatras. Kids and adults — in Slovak, English, German, Polish and Hungarian.
Rule number one
We teach from age 4.
Not from three.
With three-year-olds, an hour on the slope is mostly wasted — the child doesn't yet have the strength or the focus that skiing asks for. We would rather wait until it makes sense. We take them only by arrangement, and we'd rather tell you that up front than take your money for it.

We don't want you to just survive the hour. We want you to remember it. That's why we don't teach from a template — we read how you feel on the slope and set the pace to suit you. Control comes before speed, confidence before tricks. Love for the mountains is born in exactly that order.
Lesson prices
No asterisks. This is the whole price.
First lesson doesn't click? You don't pay. Conditions below ↓55 minutes: One private lesson. Warm-up, the first stop, and 55 minutes are gone. One-to-one, you go up by cable car; as a pair or a trio we stay down below until braking clicks.
110 minutes: Two blocks back to back, what we recommend to everyone. Only then is there time for what you came for.

Most beginners make their first turns of their own after roughly four hours, usually as two days of two hours.
A child's first time on the slope is a memory that stays. Family or several days? Tell us the children's ages and the number of days, and we'll email you an offer tailored to you.

Three things that are normal elsewhere. We don't do them — and we can tell you why.
We won't stick you with strangers.
The lesson is always yours alone. If several of you learn together, you brought them yourselves — we don't fill slots with strangers just to make them full. The price list covers one to three people; from four, we'll arrange it together.
We don't start over every morning.
Whoever you get on day one, you ride with for the whole stay. In a big school, every morning is spent working out your name, what you can already do and what you're afraid of. Half an hour a day — over four days that's a whole lesson you paid for and never skied.
You pay nothing online.
We have no payment gateway and we don't ask for your card in advance. We agree the time by phone or e-mail and you pay on the spot on the day of the lesson. If after the first day you extend for another, that's when we collect a deposit — also here, on the spot.

No need to own a thing.

We meet at our school
Tatranská Lomnica 269 — the rental shop is there too. From there we head to the slope together: beginners to the gentle slope on Buková hora, advanced riders higher up.
